Default IS IT WORTH IT?

Hey Guys,
I removed the screens from my mass air flow sensor and the difference was noticeable. Now I am wondering about the accordian coupler between the throttle body and the intake duct. Is it worth while to change it out to a smooth coupler? If so what are the gains? Thanks

You should page ATOTALNINCOMPOOP. He's making carbon fiber intake ducts. I'm not sure if they're "on the market" yet, but they are definetely worth waiting for.

I've considered doing the same thing myself. The installation of smooth tubes and K&N filters is considered a must in the Viper community, with definite objectifiable HP gains. All aftermarket smooth tubes that I have seen for my '96 are are made from foam and generally garbage. I'd love some nice form-fitting silicone smooth tubes.

You actually Noticed a difference in performance by removing the MAF sensor screens? That is a free mod, that I have not done. I thought that the consensus on the forum, is that removing the screens gives minimal, if any noticable gains in HP/performance. All those who know, pls check in.

It's worthwhile on the L98, but not for LT1/LT4. That one webpage that was posted here a couple months ago, showed ~8 or 9 horsepower on an L98.

1990 CORVETTE.... You DON'T have one podna.

90 and 91 were the years for speed density.
