Default Ground

Need a ground for a CD changer in the Passenger side dry well. Got a black wire in that mass of wires in the driver side well. Is black used for ground exclusively???????

Not always. It would be best to check it with an ohm meter.

Get a volt meter and locate a 5 or 12 volt line, usually red or yellow and measure with volt meter with chassis as ground. Then measure across your black wire and see if you can the same voltage.
