Unfortunately, I've had to park the vette outside for the past week. While it hasn't rained, there has been some morning due. Anyways, yesterday I decided to go for a spin (it's not my daily driver) and to fill up the tank. After I filled the tank, I noticed a low rpm miss. It was fine in the mid-range and upper-rpm.
However, this morning as I'm driving to work, the miss became more pronounced; low-rpm, mid-range and upper-rpm. Also, the "service engine" light came on. Is my opti taking a dive? The car only has 36K miles on it. What do you think?
Since you are in California, rush to the dealer and suggest that investigate the opti. This is covered for 7 years and 70,000 miles in some states, California being one of them (that is how I got mine replaced last time).
just had mine replaced on my 93.shop around for your parts the difference in $$$$$ for a cap and rotor kit compared to a new distributer is only about 45.00.my local parts house carries ac delco and the complete unit was about 284.00.you can also go to delco .com and pull all your part numbers and your local dealer
