Stock compression on an L98 is listed as 10:1 although I've heard other sources say it's actually cloaser to 10.5:1. Carbon deposits take up space so an older engine may be closer to 11:1.
LOL.. break-in, my as*! I bet carbon deposits are a main reason why cars with 50,000 miles on em always generate more power then when the come off the assembly line.
