Need Parking Brake Adjustment Help!!!!
I can't seem to get my parking brake to adjust!!! I figured out how to disable the self adjuster but what do i need to do in order to tighten up the cables?? Is there a place to adjust them somewhere?? My self adjusting parking brake seems to be working somewhat but not good enough to hold the car once I put it in drive. Thanks in advance

You might want to check the condition of the pads and the e-brake mech is not
jammed. My passenger side actuator lever was ceased and required me to
disassemble, lube and reassemble. My brake didnt work and cable would
not adjust until I ripped the mech apart. From there I had to pull both rear wheels
and adjust from there. My two cents....

I have the same problem with my 93. New pads and it still won't hold. Self adjuster appears to be working. Can't get an inspection sticker till it does. I haven't tried adjusting the caliper yet, however.. That may have to wait until spring. :flag

had the same problem with mine also, I have an 88... it failled the 1rst safety check just because of that.
My step dad fix it.. but said these cars hand brakes work like crap and are very hard to adjust.
I have no clue what he did to fix mine ??? :confused:
