Valve spring installed height
How can you affect on installed height?
There is only one way how springs can be installed, right?

Re: Valve spring installed height (Sliding)
You shim the springs to desired installed height.
For example, if you remove the oil shedders from the tops of L98 springs you need to use shims of equal thickness to get stock installed height.
Comp. Cams sells a convenient "variety shim pack" with enough shims of various thicknesses to shim all the springs as needed.

You can also use special valve locks that can increase or decrease installed height by 0.050". :steering:

What material should this shims be made of?
I will have them custom made because it takes too long for me
to get them from US.
