'84 engine stumble

'84 engine stumble
Can anyone tell me why when my car is in a controlled slide why
the engine stumbles? It does this whether the tank is full of gas or has hardly in it. It acts like it isn't getting fuel or something. Any help with this would be a road racers dream. Thank You.

I've never had this problem, but maybe you could check out the guys at the CrossFire Forum http://www.crossfire.webhop.net

Hey Kevin,
Check your fuel pressure, should be between 10 and 13psi..
'84 fuel pumps are crap, get an '85 pump and install it instead.. Also check that the short piece of rubber tube that connects the pump to the steel fuel lines (inside the tank) is intact...
