Ran over my intercooler last night....
Yep you guessed it...i modified my intercoolers back and down so they could get more air and it worked...but i hit a bump last night and on the drivers side it sagged out and bbooommm next thing i know felt like a speed bump at 30mph and i pulled over and it was gone no more IC on the passager side :cry
So i went back and found it and it is still in good condition a little scratched but all my hoses are crushed...
So my question is...where can i buy those hoses and i need to get a new by-pass valve...and should i go with the stock bosch valve or go with something cool and sporty??

I feel your pain Kevin....I've been building an air dam, low and infront of the intercooler to force more air behind the intercooler and I've ripped it off twice on railroad crossings and curbs.............were too dam low to begin with. oh well it'll give you some thing to do next week :D

ya the electric fans work ok for keeping the intercooler and engine cool but your running two fans the a/c and stereo in the hot months and then having alternator melt downs because of the extended duty. I'm on the right track....getting more air to the radiator. by the way I had to run the fans on the freeway to keep cool before the air dam......pretty sad system.

Better have it pressure tested just to make sure it's ok! Wouldn't want you to be loosing boost out of a small hole you can't see. :yesnod:

hhaaa hhaaaa yeah I am going to build some air damns here in a bit then I will be done till I rip those off...BUT I did some extreme pressure testing and analysis over the weekend...what I did to test it was...rolled up on a viper...told my girl to watch my boost gauge and we where off! yep 11..Psi so that concludes my testing seems to be fine...all though I had to JB cold-weld my blow off valve back together! hhaaa haha haaa :lol: :yesnod:
