Default electronic ratio adapter ?

hello corvette people


I reacently order this from Ecklers : Electronic ratio adapter



When I reaceaved it and read the instructions how to set it I didn`t had a clue what to do !!! Now I need someone the help me set this adapter so my speedo meter can read correctly after I switched from 2:59 to 3:54 !!!

Even I want to ask , how many mph the speedo meter is off by switching from 2:59 to 3:54 !!! if some one is very kind he can tell me the settings as well :cheers:

this sure is convoluted!

This is what you do... find a stretch of road with measured miles... then, get to speed until you hit a mile that takes 1 minute!!! hence you are doing 60mph....

read your speedo, and find out what it says... do the math, and you are done.

set the box accordingly.

Have a buddy drive on the freeway in a different car at 60mph. Follow him in the vette and see what your speedo says it is. Calculate the difference using the formula from the website and you should be fine.

ouch. malta. that sucks.

ok... do you have a drag strip?? it's a measure 1/4 mile... do the math to convert your speedos trap from the tracks trap.

Call Chris at superior chevy and buy the plastic tranny gears that are needed for that swap and send the little black box back to Ecklers.

3.54 is 1.3667 times more rev's than 2.59s were. Or 2.59s are 0.731 times less rev's than 3.54s are. Where is the big issue? :confused:

Your 3.54s are going to register a MPH 1.3667 times higher than what it really is so you need to knock the speedo down by 0.731.

Just FYI, dunno i fthis'll help or not. 3.45's get 30MPH per 1000rpm in OD.
60MPH is exactly 2000rpms for me, so with 3.54's it should be like 2050rpms..
