Default 86 vert bow release?

Is the hatch release button supposed to release the top (or bow as referred to in the manual) as well as the hatch? When I press the button the hatch is released but I have to manually release the top. I see in the manual there is a bow and hatch release? I cant see where there is any type of auto release mechanism for the bow? Did all 86s have this?

thanks

There is a lever on the underside of the decklid to release the #5 (rear bow), which should be done first, then the relay button will allow the decklid to raise. :seeya

so there is no auto release it is just the manual lever? Why does the manual refer to a hatch and bow release. Is the hatch coupe only and bow is vert?
