this is probably one of the funniest threads you will ever read, but here it goes. i was sittin in class today, and thought of this idea:
my cruise control has never worked, and even if it did, i'd probably not use it that much. i'd like to get nitrous sometime in the future, and was wandering if i could use the cruise control switch for the nitrous controls. switch it to on to turn the nitrous on. and then push the button at the end(the one used to set the cruise) to activate it. would this work or am i crazy
i'd just have to make sure that no one driving the car tries to set the cruise control
Re: using the cruise control switch for nitrous? (corvettemaster)
Actually you coud do that. You can use the RESUME switch to ARM the NOS, and the SET button as a purge switch :) It should work easily as the current required to fire the solenoids is very small as it goes through a relay.
Re: using the cruise control switch for nitrous? (tjwong)
that's exactly what i was thinkin! :D now if i could just hide a 10 lb. tank somewhere...no one would ever know. i guess i could use one of those sneaky pete tanks
Re: using the cruise control switch for nitrous? (corvettemaster)
The only problem I'd see with it is that when you were pushing the button your left hand would be in a funny position making that hand hard to steer with. Just a though.
