Default It's alive

Finally after 6 months I have brought the LT1 to life.

I had a problem with all 8 injectors being stuck, but I pulled the fuel rail and taped each one with a test set up providing voltage and ground and got all 8 to spray then I put the rail back on and turned the key, and vroom it came to life. I was trying to break it in by holding it at 2500 RPM but I have a cooling problem and shut it down at 230. Not wanting to hurt the new motor I will investigate the problem and fix it tomorrow. I will order new injectors next week just to be safe but I am just glad it runs after the 10,000 wires it took to conect the LT1 harness to my 84 harness. All is good 65 PSI oil preasure and 14 VDC from the alt.

Your cooling problem may be that it needs a burb.Im sure youve read about it on here before.
But you may need to let some air out to get it primed.

Thanks for the reply and the problem is solved.

I can't believe how well this thing runs after only 1/2 hour of break in.
It idles at 750 RPM with a slight lope (I suspect the LT4 hot cam and 1.6 R/R).
It has 65 PSI oil preasure and stays at 185-187 deg.
I had a hard time figuring out all the wiring, because I wanted to use as many of my stock fuses as possible and maintain a stock apearance I chose to wire the harness my self.
It may have been easier to use a 4 wire hook up but now I have a wiring harness that matches the car.
