Anybody have experiance with CabroTech pads? http://www.carbotecheng.com
At my last autocross a guy that got 10th in Nationals in my class, A Stock (a 89 Vette). He gave me some really good advice on my alignment issues, then he said I should try out these CarboTech pads, said they really help out. Wondered if anybody else had had experance with them?
If you were in A-Stock, the guy who was second (forum member RX7 KLR) uses them too. He got me hooked a little over a year ago. By far the best I've tried (used PF "Z," 01s, 99s, Hawks, too). Make sure you're using new or freshly turned rotors though. The carbon metallics leave a residue in the pores of the rotor that detract from ceramic (Carbo Tech) performance. I use the PantherPlus. You need to warm them a bit for maximum braking. You will love them.
Just remember to ride the brake on the way out of grid to the line. I use them on the street with no problems, but they need to warm up for absolute maximum braking. They will dust a bit. Let me know how they work for you. Paul
