After all these horror stories about scraping up the underbodies and loosing Air-dams I think I'll leave it where it is. It's main use is a weekend cruiser but I hope to do some autocrossing in the near future.

Z51 has stiffer springs and shocks... but most pertinent to the ride height, is that the Z51 shocks are gas-charged, and typically lift the car 1/4 or more.
Every vette is different, and it makes me doubt the quality control on the monoleaf springs. Off road stacked leaf springs are no different as far as that goes.
Also, as the earlier vette's are lighter, with the same suspension geometry and rates, they'll ride higher than later ones.
After lowering my '85, it looks about the same as what you have in the picture. :cheers:
