Can't tell from the pics but the rear is easy to check for the aftermarket lowering bolts. Stock nuts on the transverse leaf are slotted to accomodate the cotter pin. Aside from the fact that they are obviously longer (protruding ~2" or so if lowered) I'm not aware of any aftermarket suppliers that utilize the cotter pin provision for the elongated bolts.
Also, the front will be lowered if you can only fit 2 fingers or less between tire and fenderwell lip. Looks like in the shot that yours isn't up front.
I'm asking because I was considering buying a lowering kit from MAD. As I understand it the kit they sell lowers the front by replacing the rubber pad between the spring and the A-arm with a urithane piece that is about 1" thinner. Upon inspection of my car the rubber piece is only about .25" - .5" thick to start with so I thought sombody may have already done that mod.
Here is a pic from the side.

It would be nice to find out it was a Z51 or something like that but it has no emblems saying so.
These are not OE tires. They say 44 psi max on the side wall. I think the car has the best feel to it with the pressure in the 35-40 ball park.
Measured to the wheel well center...
27.25" front
28.25" rear
Look under your arm rest, under the lid. There should be a sticker on it with a bunch of three-figure codes - look for z51 under there. If that's gone, like someone changed the armrest lid or peeled it off for some reason, you can try to work the build sheet out from between the fuel tank and the bumper. You'll have to remove the spare to do this. Once it's out you'll see the sheet of paper glued in there. You can't just rip it out as it's glued in there. Be careful if you want it to come out without destroying it.
Has your car been lowered? I'd say no, but don't quote me on that. Most Corvettes that have been lowered are pretty obvious. If you drive it a lot I'd think hard about lowering it - you'll be rubbing and scraping everything.
Mines been lowered just in the rear and I was parked next to my buddy's '69 Charger R/T this summer. He has DOT slicks on it and it sits a little high, but its not jacked up by any means. My Corvette's roof barely went above the top of his doors. Just an example of how low it will sit if you dive in. Don't get me wrong, I'd lower the front of mine in a second, but I know when I do it'll be a bear to drive up here on these roads. And if the wife drives it - goodbye front air dam!
Re: Has this corvette been lowered? (Steel Blue 91)
Looks stock. Nice looking car though:cool:.
40psi is too much for your car. I think it's 35psi for coupes. Check the sticker on the door latch/striker area on the driver's side. That's what GM recommends.

:iagree:
After repeatedly telling the wife to be careful with my front air dam (don't park in any driveways that have a large hump) well the one day she takes it out (about the only time she has ever driven it) there goes the front air dam, she never even knew it was gone.
