Default General questions about a 1990 corvette

I bought a 1990 corvette it has the ZF 6 speed, FX3 ride control and a special gearing in the rear end.

What is the top speed? Or how fast has anyone gone in this model?

What are the normal top speeds in each gear?

Welcome. :) Top speed for a later L98 is about 154mph. Top speeds for each gear will depend on what gear your differential has in it. You said special gearing, do you know what gear was put into it?

Hello :seeya

'90 models came stock with 3.33 gears. With my mods I was able to feel acceleration in 6th gear, but my speedo wasn't hooked up so I can't tell you how fast I was going. 155mph sounds right for top speed stock.
http://www.f-body.org/gears can tell you mph for rpm.

Nice choice, BTW. I also have the FX3 and ZF6 in my '90.

What color? Have any pics?

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum.
Don't know the answer to your question....
Too many speeding tickets to do any research right now.

Congrats on your new Vette and welcome to the Forum.

According to the "Corvette Black Book" you could have either 3.07 or 3.33 gears. I'm not sure which the RPO G92 code carries.

For sure top speed in each gear will depend on which set you have and at what RPM she flattens out.

From my understanding 3:45 can also be found in NON Zr1 ZF6 equipted 90's. I've had mine to 155 at 5200 in 5th and still pulling strong.....but it has a few mods.
