how many miles would you guess is too many miles for a LT1 corvette? also im 18, after i get done with a project i have now ill be ready to get a nice car again, right now i have a geo metro  so that i dont have too much money goin into my daily so it can go into my project. we have an anual corvette rally here where i live, and i have fallin in love with corvettes. is there anything wrong with having a vette for a daily driver? this may make some of you sick, but what about a vette in the winter...since they are fiberglass and all.
If the motor was taken care of with regular mobil one oil changes, It can go a loooong time. Couple of hundred and still be fresh. Trans, suspension, etc will need freshing up first.
Mine was my daily driver and has seen snow. They do fine with good tires. Fiberglass is also fine in cold environments. Its a myth that it will shatter or become brittle in the cold. Also, it is to date the best in the rain I have driven, better than the Grand Cherokee though I still have to get the G35 into the rain.
I'm not trying to be negative, but you must consider the fact that Vettes can get to be expensive on maintenance unless you can do most stuff yourself. As a rough ballpark, Vettes over 5 yrs old and over 50K have ever increasing chances of stuff going wrong :( I don't mean this as a knock against Vettes, but I spend more on either one of my Vettes in one year than I'd spend on my Honda Civic in several years!
Can't accurately answer to the question on winter driving ... I live in Phoenix
