Default Air Pump Bearing Going Bye Bye------Replaceable ??

Had the bad ball bearing noise appear on the way back from the pizza joint tonight. Popped the hood to find out it's comming from the air pump. I due plan to remove the pump in the future but for now i'm thinking of just replacing the bearing.

Is it available and easily done ??
TIA

The bearings in mine went recently as well. I decided to replace it with the BPP air pump delete bracket. No more noise

I would opt for the kit as well. It's no more difficult to put on than a new pump. Just a couple extra bolts and rippin' stuff out.

If you can't replace the bearings and don't want to spend the coin on a new one, phone Fred in Kamloops. He probably has a zillion of them lying around.

I don't want to spend any real money getting air pump back to life. I will probably make my own eliminator. I will see when i get aroung to pulling pump. One day i will drive up to Kamloops and see all that Fred has there. So far everything i have asked him for has been a no go.

I had the same situation, not long ago. Not wanting to spend much money, I started to tear it apart. Something must have been frozen up in there. The bone yard looked in his Hollander and told me that mine was unique to the '84 Corvette. Over $400.00 list. Yeah, RIGHT! I was almost afraid to ask at the parts store, but Checker Auto parts had one in stock for $37.00, exchange. Like Checker is going to stock anything that only fits an '84 Vette. For that kind of money, I'm glad I couldn't get it apart. Good luck, and...

RACE ON!!!
