Chrome Tips for Flowmaster ForceII
Just had Edelbrock chrome tips put on my Flowmasters and they look great! Not only that, the resonance is gone. The way to get them properly aligned is to cut the original tips off right at the muffler. You then need a transition piece for each tip which goes inside the muffler slightly and also goes inside the chrome tip. This requires some equipment which I believe any muffler shop will have. Weld the transition piece to the chrome tip. Finally, the key is that your transition piece allows you to rotate the tip somewhat to get it square. Weld in place and you are set. The new tips will stick out a bit, but they will look so good you won't mind. A side benefit is that this setup somehow gets rid of the resonance without changing that great Flowmaster sound.

Post some pics if you got em. I looked at the Edelbrocks as well. I ended up with chrome(multi-plated) rectangular Z28 style ($72 each) on my muff-elims.
