Does anyone have a base program for an Accel gen VII+...I'm having troubles getting my tip-in, dialed-in...would appreciate any files that are working for you.
I"m not sure what you mean by tip in but if is hesitates then goes when you apply more throttle that probably is in TPS rate of change but if it just runs lean when you first stand on it the O2 makes correction your problem is in acceleration threshold lower it a little.
Tau vs map this is where you can really affect acceleration fueling.
You may also need to change map rate of change AE.
This is all explained in the manua; read it over a couple more times it takes some time to learn it.
Congradtulations on your new Gen.7 once you learn it you will be happy with it. I love mine.
I use the term "tip-in" to describe the function of an accellerator pump on a carb...still thinking old school. Yes, I really like my gen VII and believe it to be easier to use than LT1 edit. Would you be willing to email me a flash of your ecm? I'd really like to look to see what others are doing in the way of tuning...(I'm in the learning mode) In return, I would exchange the tune I wind up with after the trip to the dyno.
I just installed a smaller pulley on my blower and started to retune but I'm getting some belt slip now so no point in doing any more tuning until I cure the belt slip then I will tune for the new boost level. GO into tau vs map under the 190 column set 12.50 to 90 and set 25.00 at 85 and see if that don't cure your tip in problem may also need to increase the TPS-AE
hey guys, where did you get your Gen VII from? and what configuration are you running? thinking about going with it, just looking for some first hand advise!
IC vette, I bought my computer from Joe Overton on the camaroz28 board (he's an accel dealer) and bought a custom wiring harness from http://www.fasttrackperformance.com (Joe's car is a featured car on that site...(only 9 sec na lt1)...didn't like the accel harness as some of my gauges/dash lights didn't work correctly and it cluttered up my underhood with two wiring harnesses (the accel harness laid on top of the stock harness...it wasn't a clean install).

That's where I'm planning on getting mine from this winter, the guy I talked to there seemed to really know his stuff. And he's got a pretty good price to.
I bought mine from Blood Enterprizes.
All Accel systems are made to fit a full size car so the wiring needs to be changed to have a neat looking harness. I moddified the harness that came with it this is easy job and when done it fits perfectly since the wiring is too long all that you have to do is cut them off. The wiring that ran from the ecm to the engine on the original harness I removed it from the harnes so everything is now a custom harness but no need to spend money buying one you can do this real easy.
Blackbart, you said it was "real easy" to cut and splice the two harnesses together...I bet you are one of those guys that can do a rubics cube (sp?) in under a minute. I'll be giving you a call this xmas for some pointers on how to sort out that huge ball of wires my wife calls the christmas tree lights.
PS-Blackbart, thanks for the tuning tips...car runs much better now!

Perhaps you got the wrong impression from my post. I said it was easy but I didn't say it was fast. I was wondering if you got it running better glad I could help.
My tuning problem has been with the new computer that I bought don't have a serial port it uses USB ports and I couldn't find a serial usb adapter anywhere localy except radio shack and it was a piece of poopie. I wrote to accel tech support and they said that they had tested a lot of them and the best was a Keyspan URP-112 so I ordered one got it this week but have not tried it yet but hope it works better than the P.O.S. Radio Shack did.
