digital dash going mental
i've had my vette for a little over a year now. when i first got it the dash had the common problem of not lighting up from time to time and the indicators on (only happened very rarely and only for short amount of time). a couple of months ago it started not working at all. what would happen is when the key was turned the dash would appear scrambled with random leds active but no lights. sometimes it'll reintialize while driving then work for perfect for about 20 minutes then freeze, scramble, and go dark(sometimes very bright). searched around previous threads and saw nothing with this particular prob. i've been meaning to pull it out and check connections, plug-ins, etc, but havent had the chance. looked at the web pages about this mentioned in other threads but was wanting to know if someone could give any specifics on what to look for when i pull it out and if this particluar prob can even be fixed.
