speedo problem
Just bought an 88 coupe a couple of weeks ago. It needs some work. The first problem I want to tackle is that the speedo is wacky. Most of the time it is at "0" and the transmission works right then, but now and then the speedo starts to jump from "0" to "50-60" when I am on the road and the tranny jumps in and out of OD.
The odometer does not work when speedo is at "0". I just put in a new VSS but that did not help. What I would like to get is some advise on how I should proceed to trace the problem down.
Any help will be appreciated

Welcome to the forum. I am new also and have found a lot of good information here. If you have not found out how to search for different topics,(you won't find a lot of answers on C4 speedometer questions answered) click on any post in one of the forums, on the left you will see search, go there and use as many different words as you can think of.
