It just isnt running the same!
It seems like I have no power at all....... Talk to me please.. I go down the interstate and step on the gas and it alsmost doesnt want to go into passing gear. I have to step all the way to the floor before it does, it usually doesnt do that... I know it isnt the TV cable because I had it a adjusted a couple of weeks ago and when I got home I marked the cable and it is still in the same position..... It almost feels like something to do with VACUUM, what do you guys think? I will tell you that I changed the EGR valve this weekend and I know everything went back to gether just like it came off.....But it was like this before I did it..
It has a rough idle.
No smell of fuel.
I just got it inspected today and it passed.
Can it be the O2 sensor? :smash:
Could it be the plugs? I have about 500 miles on these. Bosch platinums..
Wires? about 1000miles
rotor and cap about 500 miles...
I also a while back bumped the timing up to 10*,,, should I go down to 8*
Please if you have any ideas at all, please respond,, dont leave me hanging out here...
never,,
I see what you are getting at....
You know my wife asked me the same question? Thing about it is, believe it or not she is always right and I hate it
I am still getting code 32,, WTH.
Why and what else can it be?
I just read somewhere the EGR sensor is the most comman cause of a code 32. I don't remember where, but I think it was while flipping through a MAD or Eckler's catalog.

So you replaced the fuel filter? Disconnect the battery and see if the code clears. If you know how, clear the code from the ECM/CCM. You can run your car with NO EGR and not set the code. I do, and the computer still thinks it is there.
You didn't respond about the fuel filter or clearing the code.
I just re-read your post. Set your timing back to 6 degrees advance. The ECM expects this and unless you reprogram the ECM you're causing problems. The EGR code rarely sets because of the EGR valve. It is usually from the actuator that is just below your throttle body left side. Double check those small tubes. There are other little vacumn tubes that if they get knocked loose they will mess up your vacumn. Double check all the connections going to the intake. Are your power brakes working okay>
Take a deep breath. You've done a lot of work on that baby lately. Something is just out of adjustment, or not hooked up right. You've taken the plenum and runners off to replace the EGR... Are you sure it wasn't the switch :D
It will all come together. Then stop tinkering for a while and enjoy driving it. Hey, my wife just got screwed for $2300 for what was supposed to be a simple brake job on her van. Had I known what was going on, I would have traded the POS in on something newer. But, too late now.
Keep in touch and if you need some help, I may have some time this weekend. This new job is killing me and I haven't got any time during the week.
No, I have not changed the fuel filter,,,
But I believe you have found my problem,, When taking the trottle body off I did break the vacuum line on the acuator but I took it off and super glued it together.. I know that is ghetto but I dont know where I can find one,,, where can I find one
Skippy I really appreciate your hel-p on this matter.
I also will set the timing back, I think I will go back to 8* for now, because it is pinging at 10*
Hey Joe, how s it going man,, you are right I have done a little work lately. I cant blame it on her... I need to blame it on myself,, Inknew this was going to happen if I kept f_ing with it...... I will get it straightened out.. I broke the plastic vacuum line going into the actuator from the canister up front... anyone know where I can find one...
Hey Joe you want to go to Hill and Dale's tomorrow for a beer. How s the new job,,, happy for you ,,,, man
Set the timing back to 6 degrees or whatever the smog tag on the air filter housing says. Honest. The computer will advance the timing plenty on it's own.
You'll have a real hard time finding that hard little connector tubing. But most auto stores will have rolls of good year vacum tubing - 5/16 " will work just fine. I bet this fixes your problem.
I will go back to 6*,, I agree
I knew someone on this forum could figure this out..
Skip,, I owe you a big beer..
I will stop by the parts store tomorrow and get some tube..
you know what the bad thing is about this whole mess I was so frustrated today,,, when I was coming home today on the interstate a GT mustang pulled up along side me and hammered it ,,,,,, listen up "moderators" so I had to test the passing gear thing and he did see my brake lights up ahead when I reached the traffic
