Fast idle, possible problems?
just hte other day, my car started idling at 2k rpm. It sometimes falls to 1500, but it was idling at 800-900 before that all the time. any possible suggestons to why its ilding so high?

Try resetting your idle speed via the Idle Air Control (IAC) servo. See the Tech Tip below:

I think the tach is reasonably close down there...
Thanks for the tech article, but where exactly is the IAC valve, as in, do you have a picture with an arrow...
I know nothing about chevy sersors, or where to locate them. This is the 1st chevy that I have ever owned. Im a serious newb. heh Thanks for hte info, it is really appricatged
