loose steering column
hi guys, since ive had my 84 the steering column has been a little loose. i was told it might be the 3 0r 4 torque bolts could be loose. so after stuffin around pullin it all appart i found that they were tight. now what else could it be? bearings? or the pivot where the steering can be adjusted up and down? and could this be the main reason im having a rough ride? please help :confused:

I had the same problem with my 93, It was the pivot piece. They are pot metal & the pivot pins get lose. It was'nt too bad of a job, I pulled the whole column and worked on it on the bench.

yeah i think it could be the pivot pins cause it feels like its at the top end of the column. those links are very handy thanks for the help guys.. :cheers:
