I'm running a Holley AFR and am set at 45 PSI at idle with no vacuum. Is this a good setting or should I just play with it to get the best results? Any recommendations?
For a totally stock L98 of your vintage that sounds pretty good; I think the OEM setting was about 44psi.
The best way to set one is to start with the stock value that you read just before you installed the AFPR and then use a dyno or 1/4mile trap speed to find the optimum pressure value.
Note: I'm mildly modified... TPIS cam, lifters, springs, 1.5 roller rockers, 52MM BBK, K&N with open box, Flowmaster exhaust. Is 45 PSI still about right to start?
Hmmm...that's not a "mild" as my mods  and I'm running 48psi which showed 12.8:1 at WOT on the dyno.
I would think that maybe 50psi would be good with your mods. If you can get a scan tool onto your ECM try to get about 920mV on the O2 at WOT and high RPM (just below the shift point).
