Last night I tried to turn on my brights, but the stalk that is used to activate them wouldn't click forward turn them on. The blinkers and cruise control still work, but the brights do not.
Has anyone heard of anything like this? A broken stalk? Something lodged in there?
Re: Headlight stalk control won't activate brights... (Atchisbr)
When I bought my Vette, I had the same problem. Check to see if your highbeams work with the steering wheel all the way up (not tilted down). If so, good chances the switch is just loose in the column. The dealership had to tighten mine up.

If your stalk is broken,,, drop me a line, just finished replacing new one today... not a hard job, but make sure you have the right tools, (1)steering wheel puller and (2) lock cam compressor (best one from AutoZone for $9)..

Vinnie,
I haven't done one on a corvette but are they like most GM's where you have to tie a piece of mechanic wire to the connection to pull it through and then attach the mechanic wire to the new lead to pull it back through when installing the new stalk?
Re: Headlight stalk control won't activate brights... (C4 Newbie)
If it just the turn signal stalk, then it just requires 1. remove steering wheel, 2. remove lock cam, 3. remove screw holding stalk in the turn signal cam, 4. put in new turn signal stalk. If you have to replace the whole turn signal cam assy, thats a different story... all the same as above, + some more
