Doh! i was supose to post pics for someone else i totally forgot. I'll e-mail myself a reminder to post some tonight.
install tips:
do the install while the car is cold
take a picture of the gauge needles
if you have the manual just follow the instructions for removing the instrument cluster.
wear latex gloves while installing(keeps the faces clean)
before closing everything up check to see if all the guage needles work
also check to see where your door ajar light is compared to the one you bought and make sure they sent the right one.
hope this helps. will post pics tonight with the green and blue lights
Eddie could you email me pics. tikibam2@msn.com . I only got red x's from your post. I was curious what this looks like on a vette as I have them on both my trucks. Thanks.
I'm not getting you're pic's either. BTW, mainly what I'm concerned about is the warning in my Haynes manual (can't find my GM manual at the moment) that the instrument cluster "cannot be disassembled by the home mechanic." I guess I better look a little harder for my GM manual. :yesnod:
I put a set of these on my 90. dropping the colum it the best way to do it . remove the outer black trim. the cluster will the pull out. then you just take out the handful of screws that hold the lense in place and from the backside remove the screws that hold the inside trim plate to the face. the gauges then sit on the face positioned with a few holes that line up on the cluster , the needled feed into the holes in thewhite no need to pull em. the hook up power and test. and now reassemble and install.
*** note not good idea to try without dropping the colum, i did the first time and scratched my lense cover and cracked my LCD before it was over!!! :smash: also i dont know if new ones are like the but the ones i have dont match up exactly to factory markings on cluster***
