Paul,
Was that S&W bar supposed to be BOLTED in, and not welded? Hmm..If there's no welding involved, I may venture into buying a 4-point and putting it in..but I always thought for it to be legal it HAD to be welded in.
As for cost I paid $440 for the kit. I paid extra for the chrome molly bars to save 30pnd over the standard mild steel, and the 2 swingout kits were around $35 ea. So not bad for a payout of $440. I feel I saved about $1000 doing it myself. It seems the going rate of dropping your car off and picking it up when complete runs from $1300-2000 depending on who does it and what options you want. That is a nice chunk in savings, very much worth the effort.

My bar from R-D Racing is bolted in, but can be welded if you want to.
