i replaced my plug wires with taylor's. while removing the gm's i noticed they were numbered to match the number on the opti spark. next time i will get the oem's. i used nkg-55 plugs. while removing the gm's i noticed they were in almost pristine condition after 69K miles. next time i will go with the oem's. i did this work in connection to a cam and header installation, so i have no experience manuvering in the tight spaces. good luck.

I used Taylor wires and Delco Rapidfire plugs. Make sure you follow the stock wire routing configuration with the new wires.

As far as getting to the wires at the opti, well, it's not that bad. First jack the car up and take off the left front wheel. Then take off the middle part of the fender well and all the extra junk attached to it. The part I'm talking about is right above the shocks/control arms, probably 6 bolts. You'll also want to unbolt the rest of the ASR module. Now, take the air inlet hose off (remember to disconnect the MAF wire and air temp wire) and remove the serpentine belt. Next, remove the belt tensioner (just one bolt, piece of cake). Now unbolt the power steering pump from the accessory bracket. You'll need to be able to push the pump forward SLIGHTLY (be careful not to bend the metal lines attached to it) to snake the wires between the pump and the accessory bracket. After you've done all of this, it should be a piece of cake to do the driver's side, apart from trying to get the wires back in their original wire clips, which was a pain in the butt. The passenger's side is even easier. You should be able to reach down and pull the wires off of the opti without removing anything on that side. Oh yeah, have fun with the coil wire. The opti end of the coil wire is buried underneath the accessory bracket, the water pump, and a coolant hose. I had to GENTLY use a set of long nose pliers (with rubber tubing over the jaws).

Really, the job is not hard after you've done it the first time. If you take all the stuff off that I mentioned here, it will save you more time and frustration in the long run.
