Should take a couple of hours the most.. Remove airbox and it's right there.
You shouldnt have to remove EGR valve... You might want to put a meter
across it to make sure it's bad. Cold it should read open and warm/hot
should be closed. Mine was stuck closed, tripping a code 32 until the
car warmed up. HTH

If it's like my '88 the connector to that grn wire comming out of the switch is burried behind, below and to the left of the dist with a 2" pigtail comming out of the large harness that runs across the top of the bell housing.
When I had the base off with dist out I spliced in a section of grn wire to bring that connector up to the right of the dist for easy access.
Otherwise replacing the EGR temp. switch would have been a 5min job.
