Please HELP car multiple misfire code down low......
The car has never run great below 2k since last cam change and I learned to deal with it, but now I can load up cylnders (I believe) and have them misfire or stumble down low...thus throwing a code (multiple misfire or cylnder 7 misfire)...I think maybe I need more ignition (i.e. MSD or something)......However many old and wise corvette dudes say my stock ignition should be fine to handle this load....How can this be???? I do have the msd coil, and Taylor wires.....somebody thought maybe the wires might be bad......I pulled them off and checked them they are fine.....Do I need MORE ignition spark or a better spark down low?????? Am I missing something else????? Please see sig. for info on car...
PS I think the compression is 11.2:1 if this helps

This doesn't sound like spark to me. Inadequate spark would more likley show up at high RPM's than low. Have you checked you fuel pressure? Done a leak down test on the injectors? Done a resistance test across the injector electorincs?

With a lumpy cam and that ultra sensitive crank sensor, you will never rid yourself of "misfire detection" under 2000 rpm without altering the PCM programming. It's just the nature of the beast.

I have new injectors and have been thru most everything that could be wrong...and just seemed desperate to find an answer so chasing down the spark sounded good.......Thanks for the help....
