I finaly have my motor broke in so I decided to get on it a bit but I think I hit the rev limiter.
Does anyone know what the rev limiter on a LT1 ECM is set at?
I thought it was around 6500 RPM but I was only at 6200 RPM when the ing. started to break up realy bad (i.e. rev limiter)
I supose it could be the stock 84 tach not being that acurate.
Oh well the thing pulls like a mostor from 3000 up. I will just shift at 6000 from now on till I figure out whats up.
Is this a stock LT1? You dont want to get it that high with those stock springs....
No the Motor is not stock.
The heads have been ported and have oversize valves as well as New valve springs for the LT4 Hot-cam.
I had my ECM redone but I didn't have the guy touch the Rev. limmit so it looks like I just thought the rev limiter was higher than it was. I will just have to shift a bit earlier till I get the ECM retuned in the spring.
