Fuel filter what a differance!
Just got the fuel filter changed and what a change, and all this time I thought the opti was going bad. Lesson all ways change the filter before condemnimg the opti spark!

when you say change what exactly do you mean? performance? soomter running? you say you thought it was the optispark at first i am just curious what symptoms you had that it cured

What was it doing, cutting out at higher rpms? Stumbling a bit at idle?
I've been tempted to do the filter myself, since there has been a string of bad gas around here this past year, this may make my decision easier.......
Plus tonight I did something I NEVER do.. I let the gauge get to RESERVE, and when I punched it on the way home, the motor cut out from under me above 3500 RPMS... OOPS, I don't like sucking from the bottom of my tank!!

I bought the car and was still chasing "demons" so it was a prosess of elmination Now it pulls at all loads with no complaint.
