Default Lt4 stock headers - decent?

I was checking under the hood today & the stock LT4 headers are cast iron. I've read in other threads that they were somehow "upgraded" from the stock LT1? How? They look pretty standard.

i could be wrong and if i am i am sure somebody will chime in but i am pretty sure the exhaust manifolds are the same on an lt1 and lt4 now i know the resonator on the lt4 has an h pipe and i dont think the lt1s have that . maybe thats the differenceyou are thinking about?

sorry, i dont have your answer, but would like to know too if the cast iron manifolds are the same for lt1 and lt4, because , arent ls1 and ls6 stock manifolds different? Extrude honing would be expensive surely, and if you can get a lt4's cheaper, might be a good idea without sacrificing reliabitly and or having exhaust leaks. Anyways, ttt
