Just got the Eagle Forged 4340 Crank and 4340 6" Rods with SRP forged pistons. Oh and the best part ATI Super dampner..Now the waiting game for the machine work. Should be a couple of weeks on that, I hope. Now I need to get the Super ram base ported out. This a job that someone can do on there own or do you need a flow bench?
I took the parts straight to the machine shop so there are no pictures at this time :) Jay You will be the first to know how she is.. TJwong has to agreed to tune the car for me so I know I am in Very Good hands there. :yesnod:
Good to hear  .
Take pics of the superram porting, as I'm going to be doing that over winter also, and port match them to my Pro Topline heads.
Hey Jay, I have a 1990 that is being rebuilt into a 383 at this moment. I was wondering what kind of hp/tq you are getting at this time just for comparison sykes when they dyno my new engine, Since you have a 90. I have been promised from mid 400 to 500 horse power. The only thing I am keeping is the block which is being balanced and bored. Thanks
we did a quick formula( i don't believe in chassis dyno's, too many dyno queens out there and they do not run NEAR what they boast)
and with the weight of my car at the 11.80@120.2 run, it was 3400 pounds. Close to 460 hp at the crank to run that mph in decent air. this is LPE's 440/480 package. The additional power is prolly there due to the DFI locking the torque convertor in both second and third gear. Whatever it is, 120 mph for a daily driver is smokin'! I hope Rich's does as good or better.
As soon as the machine shop is done it will go in. Two weeks. :yesnod: I can't wait. The reason for all 4340 stuff is I think I will throw #150 shot at it this summer.
