This manifold looks like pretty killer deal, but it says in small print: Will not fit corvette's with stock hoods. Is there anyway to get this thing to work with the stock hood? Perhaps machine down the mounting surface between the plenum and the base? I'm just wondering because the stock TPI manifold has developed a coolant leak around the base and if I'm going to go through all the trouble of pulling it off to fix it, I might as well put something better back on.

Re: Holley Stealth Ram??? (cbrock)
WithOUT starting the who's plenum is better debate, has anyone actually gotten one of the custom plenum Stealths to run yet? I keep waiting for numbers, but haven't seen any yet.

I just got an IM from Jesse...He's sending the single plane back to me with his and Corky's thoughts and I'll make the changes necessary and it will be ready should anyone want to forgoe the PITA HSR installation... I think the HSR would be a good manifold if:
1) You didn't have to get a custom plenum for it for our cars.
2) You didn't have to change the frickin' distributor.
I want to engineer a piece that will simply bolt on...You retain EVERYTHING!!! Simple, easy, straightforward... Ya know??

I tried to do a search just now and before I posted, all I found was a topic in the forced induction section that just meantioned using the stealth ram and not what it actually took to make it work. THEN, I saw the pull down that allows me to see the archived topics....haha, I suck.
