Re: Pulling codes (Ramrod92)
connect pin A to C on the ALDL and turn the key to the run postion(do not start). This should display the SRC codes in the speedo area. Report back.
The service ride control light is the one that will be flashing. It doesn't show on the gauge cluster.
Oops, my bad. Connect pins A and C, turn key to on(not start) and watch the SRC light flash. It should flash once, then twice three times, then any other codes will flash three times.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Some of the numbers and writing on those images aren't too clear; even when zooming in in Photoshop. I was wondering if there was a better scan or a page where it was in a manual or something.
You have too count the flashes of the SRC light. It should flash once, then a short pause, then twice, then a slightly longer pause. It should repeat the twice more. This would be code twelve. It signals the start of the code sequqnce. Any other codes stored will flash in the same manuer three times. Possible SRC codes are 12,13,14,21,22,23,31,32,33,34,41,42, and 43.

Re: Pulling codes (Lord Odin)
I don't know what it means but 23 definitely showed up. I double checked the list it went through.
Looks like me and lbitp37 in the C4GD are having the same problems with our front rights. :smash:
Trust me, in SRC code 23 does not exist.
Pull your right front actuator off. Slowly twist the gear on top of the shock. If it spins freely, the shock is bad, if not it's the actuator. For an easy test of the actuator, swap the two fronts. If the code follows sides, you know it's the actuator. Easy double check.
Yep, definitely the actuator. I know the shocks are good, I just replaced them about 2 yrs ago. I took a glance at the actuator and could see it was broken inside.
Looks like I'm gonna have to get a new one. Those puppies ain't cheap either! :cry

Re: Pulling codes (Ramrod92)
Jeff, Code 23 is loss of vehicle speed signal.
Typically that does not come up. It will disappear after the car is driven. it sets if the ignition key has been turned over 3 times and the car has not moved.
I should have corrected myself. 23 is not a shock related error.
"Code 23 will set if the ignition switch is cycled on/off three times without driving the vehicle. The SRC indicator will turn off once the vehicle has been driven if the system is ok, but the code will remain as a history code and should be cleared to avoid future misdiagnosis." other possible causes for this code are an open CKT 400 (yel wire) or CKT401 (ppl wire), or a faulty SRC module. Since you have determined that the right front actuator is malfunctioning, you should replace it and clear the SRC codes, then drive it. :steering:
