Default Is the windage tray necessary?

Well, in the middle of my engine build I am faced with yet another question. I am planning on getting the oil pan that TPIS sells which says it includes a built in windage tray. Does this mean I don't have to put in the mangled piece of metal that was once considered my stock LT1 windage tray(pre-detonation era term). It's a little late, considering I already have the mains machined to use some studs that are not long enough to use the stock windage tray, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

If your pan has an integral windage tray you should be more than fine.
