84 TRW pistons.

How much stronger are they then the stock pistons 86-96?
Is it worth to swap them with my 91 stock pistons? I got 8 for free by a friend.
Can they handel a blower?

the 84 came with forged pistons...depending on the mileage on then they are better than 91 pistons. :cheers:

so with a set of 84 pistons new rods and ARP bolts everywhere. And the comp arou9.9:1, you should be abel to handel a superscharger?

Waste of time compared to what you have to do to do it.

New pistons are only ~200 bucks.

yeh well not "over here".. And they have ben in a engine that have gone 9000km.
ANd If they look good I can use the maoney i saved to get forged rods..

You should have the cylinders lightly honed. Then the pistons, and cylinders should be measured with a micrometer to check the clearances. I'm not sure if a blower motor has different specifications for piston-to-wall clearances, but I know the rings have certain gaps for blowers, and NOS. The pistons should also weigh about the same, or you will need to re-balance the crank. Good luck, and I hope this helps some.
