I'm about to pull out my last three hairs. The steering column in the car I bought had a hole over the turn signal lever. I bought a new one off e-bay and changed it out today. The only problem I had before was a .5 amp draw that would pull the battery down. Now, when ever I connect the battery, the car trys to start in park and neutral. It will also run in drive and reverse. I've read the GM Shop Manual till I'm blue in the face, and I figure it has to be something really simple, but I can't find it.... Anybody know what to try next? Thanks, david :( :banghead:
um, a) put what the problem is, in the topic. not just help me.
b) that said, i dont understand what your saying. the car will start in park and neutral. isnt that good? as would be; the car running in reverse and drive.
now, if your saying that the car tries to start by itself when in park/neutral, then thats different. im no expert (havent messed with that stuff,.. yet) but i would think that the ignition would have to be stuck on. some sort of short.
