Air pump squealing
Hey guys,
Just want to know what you guys would do about this, I think my air pump is going bad... its making a squealing sound after the car has been on over 5 or 10 minutes. It doesn't make any squealing when I just start her up.

If you remove the belt, turn the air pump pulley by hand, you should be able to reproduce the squeal if it's bad.

Mine sounded like like it was ready to go also. I'm waiting till my christmas holidays till I remove it. I decided to try spraying lithium grease into the two holes at the back of the pump while it was running. That was over a month ago and I haven't heard a peep since.
I'm still going to remove it though :D

Yeah I've though about the air pump eliminator from Breathless Performance, but I really want to try and keep my car legal "even if some people say the air pump isn't needed"
I'm waiting until spring to fix a brake leak and I'll probably end up changing the air pump also. (Can we order these new?, and how much, aprox?)
I'll pull off the serpentine belt and turn it by hand, at least that way I'll know for sure its the air pump.. .but it seems pretty obvious were the sound is coming from.
