Is it possible to retrofit a factory LT1 intake system onto a standard chevy 350? Like put one on an 84 Vette? I see that people do Tuned Port retrofits all day long. Why not an LT1?

Re: LT1 intake retrofit. Is it possible? (Killer 84 X)
People have had problems with the mods you must make to get it to work. Drilling and fitting distributors, water leaks, ETC. There should be some info in the search dept. Have you checked out the crossfire site? I've heard they do mods to them. Of course there's the always popular Super Ram that the TPI guys run.

There are only about 5% of the people I've sold LT1 intake conversion to that are having or had trouble with the swap. They are the same 5% of the population that have trouble with anything they buy.
The LT1 intake conversion is reliable and a fairly simple swap if you have the machine work done already. I personally have been running mine for 2 years now (daily driver) without one bit of trouble. I will never go back to TPI.
LT1 intakes weigh HALF what the TPI does and sits 3" lower for increased hood room.

Didn't mean to step on anyones' toes. The last I heard of this swap was a while ago, and people were having problems. Glad to hear you've worked them out if that's the case. Got any prices on this set-up ready to go?

No offense taken.
I just wanted to "clear the air" about what's going on. The swap isn't for everyone and I'll be the first one to tell that to a potential customer. I have steered more then one customer away because it wasn't what he needed to spend his money on first. I'm not here doing it to make lots of money and get rich, that won't happen. I am here to help the GM EFI crowd.
I get many e-mail questions on all aspects of the conversion and help each and every one. Not all are right for the conversion. I will be the first to tell them that.
As far as posting prices here, I'm not allowed to, you must take it off the forum and e-mail me.
Re: LT1 intake retrofit. Is it possible? (Millican)
its very possible..... I did everything myself except for the distributer shim which came from John. My application called for a decent amount of machining, mostly stemming from the machining of the heads. As for the performance, its great.
