Default IAC and Vacuum question 1990

I have a rough idle only after the engine is hot. I replaced the EGR and tested the new one. Are there any other vacuum systems that are "energized" at the same or nearly the same time as the egr activation?
The IAC system has a reading of, I believe 39 on a scanner. Is the IAC a part I can remove and clean or adjust to bring it back to specs?

you can adjust the IAC, but be careful cleaning.... and check your vacume connections, thats a good first place to start... cracked plastic you can't see can cause alot of small problems.

Not to step on your toes Vinnie, But the ecm controls the IAC. There is no adjustment other than setting the pintel length to 1 1/8" or less on installation. After that the ECM will control your IAC counts. Moving your base idle up or down will affect the IAC counts. :seeya

Before you do anything else clean the throttle blades and throttle body to remove the buuilt up carbon from behind the blades. A common mistake people miss. :seeya

I would recommend you make a quick check of the injectors with the engine hot. Remove each wire harness and measure the resistance of each injector. The reading should be in the 16 ohm range and all 8 should read somewhere in the 15.5 to 16.5 range. If your car has stock injectors, there is a high probability you will see injector problems in the future!
