Performance modifications for a 1996 Corvette LT1?
I recently purchased a 1996 Corvette Coupe with a LT1 motor.
The vette is all original and the only modification I have done is to put on a Borla exhaust system on it.
I would like to gradually increase the performance and HP on this motor as money & time permit.
I have been reading about different air filters, air in takes and coolant by passes.
I don’t know much about motors and I hoping to learn slowly by doing simply inexpensive modifications first.
I don’t want to make any modifications at this time that may affect the computer on the car.
What modifications would you recommend, what brand and style of product etc?

3.54 or 3.73 gears, and about 2600 stall TC to start

K&N air filter and cut the air lid. it gives you almost as much power as any other air intake system out there and for a fraction of the cost. Also I would think about some headers. those will increae your power and the bark of your ride by quite a bit
