I know there was a topic posted on this recently but I'm still confused. I'm reinstalling my starter and forgot where the wires hook up. Take a look at the pic below.
Can you tell me where wires 1,2,3 go? And what there purposed are (power, ground, etc) Thanks :cheers:
1.) Is the "starter" activation wire. It goes on the only small terminal on your solenoid. If you have a replacement solenoid with two small terminals, It goes on the one marked, "S". That should be the larger of the two and closest to the block. It gets powered when the key is in the "start" position and it activates the solenoid and the starter.
2.) Feeds power to other circuits on the car. It goes on the large terminal along with number 3.
3.) This is the positive battery cable.
The starter is grounded through the engine block. There is no ground wire on the starter. Good luck, and...
