Trans-Go Shift Kit Install cost?
Okay so I got my Trans-Go kit today in the mail. After looking over the instructions and watching the video I think I am going to skip this install and get it done professionally. I wonder how much others that have had this kit installed by someone else paid for it so when I go looking for quotes I can see if they are reasonable or not.

The guy who rebuilt my A4 supplied & installed the TransGo kit for ~$200.
Don't go to a chain store for the install, locate a performance tranny shop.

Go to someone who is familiar with Trans-Go's way of thinking, and installs their kits on their transmissions. You can modify this kit to get longer life and firmer WOT shifts while retaining the smooth part throttle shifts. Let me know which torque converter you are using & everything that is done to your vehicle, that way I can match the hole sizes (in the valve body plate) needed for your particular application. Trans-Go has made many changes over the years to this kit, but I have found what works for each application is somewhat different than waht they offer. The early kits worked best in many ways, but they changed, mainly due to the torque management conflict. Let me know if I can be of help?

at Dynotech Performance (manville, nj), that install takes 2.5 hours max, at $65/hour.

I did the TransGo install myself. It was very messy but not that hard. You have to follow the instructions step by step and watch the video about 3 times beforehand. I was quoted $250.00-$300.00 from a performance trans shop...
