what is the easiest way to change one of the four bottom brake lights? No the high top one..... I have taken off the license plate and tried through the hole there... I have also tried to fit my hand through the bottom of the bumper.. no go :smash: :smash:
What the hell........... :smash: :smash:
Helps to have skinny hands for this job!!. You may have to remove the inside lamp housing to get to the oputside one. Going thru the license plate opening is the best way.

Re: brake light change (1990CORVETTE)
 Not sure if this applies, it works on my 88
In addition to removing licence plate and frame, remove gas tank door and all accesories.
working through the gas tank door area, you can remove the two "PRESS NUTS" that hold the asembly to the body. Once removed, the assembly can be manuevered to the area of the licence plate, where you can access the bulbs.
Trick is to find the two "press nuts"...Once found, you can get a socket on them. There's plenty of room to work on the passenger side, space is limited on driver's side
That's the situation on my 88, not sure if it applies
I did this on my 88 about a week ago. After removing the license plate, I also had to remove the gizmo that holds the spare tire up and then pull the bulb out of the reverse light. After that I finally had enough room to reach the inner lights and remove the two 10mm (or was it 7mm?) screws that hold the light assembly in place. I used a small ratchet. After the light assembly is removed it's easy to replace the bulb. Then reach in through that hole and disconnect the outer light socket. Pull it through the hole and replace the bulb. I had my gas door and the rubber thing off today and don't see enough room to jam my arm in there. Maybe '90 is a bit different. You're right about going between the bumper. Absolutely impossible unless you have long and skinny arms like ET.
