Re: Removed Air Pump............ Questions (AGENT 86)
If you've got the stock manifolds there is a tube that connects to the "AIR Trees" on the top of each one. It comes along the front of the block and meets up to a rubber hose in the center by those valves. Then there is the line that feeds the catalytic convertor. Then there is the "silencer" that hangs down off of the bottom of the AC compressor bracket.
Re: Removed Air Pump............ Questions (scorp508)
Thanks, I'm assuming that the one that dissapears from under the solenoids is going to cat.
Did you have to pull compresor to remove crossover tube ?
Not sure if I will pull exhaust and weld the holes shut at this time.
Should I just plug the hoses at the check valves ?

You can take the check valves OFF and go buy 2 , 1/2 inch threaded pipe caps in the plumbing section and cap the exhaust a.i.r tube off on both sides. Its round so use a good vise grip wrench to tighten them on.
I did this until I cut the air tubes off the manifolds and got the holes welded shut. The long pipe that goes to the cat,I took that off and I used a fat screw to put inside the rubber connector at the main cat and a clamp to seal it and it never leaked.
