Has anyone found a urethane bumper repair kit that will work for small repairs? I backed into a concrete curb with the right corner of the rear bumper. I hope that the damaged can be repaired without having to spend for a new/replacement bumper.
Went to the local auto body supply warehouse and they made it sound pretty complicated. He said that there are two types of urethane that was used and you have to determine which type you have to get the right kit. Also said the the adhesive requires a $50 gun to make sure that the mix is just right. Sounds like I was getting the run-a-round.
Anyone with experience repairing bumpers out there? Would appreciate any advice.
It depends on the damage. If it is scuffed and not cracked you can prbly fix it with sanding and filler/ primer. If it is cracked your best bet is to replace it. You can mask cracks but they will usually come back after time. Good luck and watch out. :steering:
